I worked with Eric at the Courthouse in Anchorage, AK. Although our paths didn't cross very often, we did have occasion to work together once in a while. I knew Eric to be a kind and gentle soul with the most infectious smile! Blessings to you and your family as you go through this difficult time. My prayer is that God will comfort you in the days and weeks ahead. Peace, Ann Vigil

To Cat and family words can't express the heartfelt heaviness I'm feeling at this time. Eric was so much apart of Darlene's and my life. I will forever hear his laughter and see his contagious smile. He was always so positive, caring and fun loving. I can truly say that he made the world a better place for all those that had the honor of calling him friend.

I'm praying for all of you today and the days to come asking the Lord to reassure your hearts how much He cares about all you're going through at this time. Much Love & Prayers

Dear Sims family,
We will always remember Eric as such a fun loving guy. His smile and laughter would light up any room! He was a great guy to know and was always so kind to my family. When going to Anchorage he would take time and go to our boys basketball tournaments and cheer them on.
He certainly will be missed, but always remembered!
You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love, Karen Feero and Tapangco family

Eric Spencer Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of your lost. For those of us that had the privilege of knowing him, we were humbled by his kindness and compassion to everyone around him. Glancing back over the past 19 years I remember when I first met Eric and how he made me laugh. He told funny stories about the work place and its people. It was on that day he said to me in his” Barry White “ pitch you can call me ERIC because you’re special ……of course that was followed by lots of laughter. We all worked in the basement. Just a remarkable guy who never sought praise or attention he was content making people smile. Know that he’s missed in the workplace and the community.
Family with all my sincere sympathy, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. Eric was a wonderful guy. I worked with him at the courthouse in Anchorage. It was a pleasure to see him and talk to him passing through the halls or while he was making his rounds. He always made me smile and gave such awesome words.

He was a gentle soul. I don't doubt for a minute that he will have them laughing for days up there.

Dear Sims Family:

Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. I worked with Eric for many years in Anchorage and always found him to be the type of person who constantly had a smile and a kind word. I referred to him as "E-Man" and we would nod to each other while passing through the hallways and corridors of the court. He was a wonderful, wonderful human being and will be greatly missed.

May you find comfort and strength in the loving memories of Eric.

Fondly,

Neil Nesheim

I worked with Eric for 13 years at the court system and he was one of my favorite co-workers, I think I speak on behalf of the court system when I say he will be missed by many and was part of our family as well. He was always pleasant to be around and brightened the room with his laugh and humor. I'm grateful for having the opportunity to get to know him and I am truly sorry for your loss and believe the world is a better place because of Eric.

I had the opportunity to appreciate Eric in both courts- his friendly, soft-spoken, well mannered courtroom personality camouflaged his passionate play on the basketball court (until his knee gave out). He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Eric in the In-Courts Office in Anchorage. He never ever failed to smile his beautiful, luminous smile. Which, in turn, made us all happy to be around him. And his voice. What a wonderful gift. He was a wonderful friend and he will be greatly missed. I am so sorry for your loss.

I met Eric 15 years ago at the Alaska Court System and he was, and always has been, such a kind and giving person to everyone, from all walks of life. Eric left so many of us with such fond memories and I feel very blessed to have known him and call him my friend. Everything about him was genuine - his smile, his hugs, his kind words, his friendship...he will be greatly missed.

First and foremost my prayers of comfort for the family. Spence was one of a kind. Everyone talks about his smile and it's true, it was a smile that would make my day. He was a man that taught me a lot and he was definitely loved. He was always good for the best laughs with his quick wit and jokes. A piece of my heart is always with him. He was an amazing friend and a stand up man.
