Alim S. Muhummad was born on April 21, 1955, in Rockford, Illinois, to the late Horace R. Lambert and Thelda L. Lambert. Alim (aka Ricky Lambert) graduated from Rockford West High School in 1972, where he played football and regularly participated in high school talent shows displaying his exceptional vocal and instrumental music skills. He later moved with family to Newark, New Jersey where he enlisted and served in the United States Army. Thereafter, her attended Essex County Community College in Newark, New Jersey earning his Associates Degree in Business Administration. After which he began his professional career as a licensed Commercial Insurance Agent.

Yet aspiring for greater heights, his uncanny business savvy, creativity and drive for entrepreneurship led to the formation of H.R. Lambert Contractors, Inc. (a General Construction partnership with his father). This venture was unquestionably among the proudest moments of his life! Alim helped guide the growth of the company and emerged as a thriving young professional in the urban housing development markets.

He then successfully led the company's transition into the larger Commercial Business Real Estate arena, specializing in HVAC design and installations. Ultimately, Alim along with his then companion Arlene, relocated to Little Rock, Arkansas where he continued his work as a Project Manager and Consultant in residential home construction.

Throughout his adult life, Alim devoted significant time to community outreach programs serving as a youth mentor promoting local boxing Events and Music Talent Showcases. His mission was simple; inspire young people to pursue their passions and dreams empowered with the knowlege that nothing was beyond their reach! This charge to excel was particularly impactful to his nephews and nieces.

As a deeply spiritual, God-fearing and gifted intellectual, Alim lived life devoted to his companion, family, many life-long friends, martial arts, music and love for life itself! He sought earnestly to love unconditionally, seek after knowledge and share his wisdom. Above all else, honor God... his Creator with the totality of his gifts and talents. Throughout his life, Alim maintained an undying love and deep affection for his mom and dad and would stop short of nothing to ensure they each felt certain of this.

"The eyes of the Lord roam to and fro the earth to shew Himself strong on the behalf of those whose heart is pure towards Him"." 2 Chronicles 16:9. Alim... you have shown yourself to be a strong and courageous man with the help of God our Father! Now take your rest!
