Amanda Pauline Bowles

Amanda Pauline Bowles, 87, passed away on May 31, 2023. Born in Tulip, Arkansas to Mable and Albert Joseph Collins. Amanda taught in the Arkansas Public School System for about thirty years before teaching Adult Education at Arkansas Baptist College. Amanda was a dedicated member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where she served as the President of the Mothers Board. 

Amanda was preceded in death by her only child, Len Atkins; sisters, Frankie and Maude; brother, Jonathan. Amanda is survived by her grandson, Davis Atkins; daughter-in-law, Yvette Davis-Atkins; sisters, Mattie, Annie (Carl), Nancy (Horace), Doris (Elmor) and Angela (Buster); brothers, Clint, Gary and John (Vanessa). She is also survived by her beloved nephews, nieces and a host of other relatives.
