Calvin Crater, age 84, was born April 17, 1941, in Bayou, Arkansas to Aldoph Crater and Mellissa Doss. He was lovingly raised by Arthur Scarborough Sr. in his later years.
In his lifetime, Calvin enjoyed many hobbies including gardening and crafting handmade bells and purses.
Calvin departed this life on Tuesday, October 21, at St. Vincent Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Calvin Jr.: four sisters, Betty Jean, Christean, Gloria, and Betty Lois, one grandson, Brodrick Finklea, and one niece Tamesha Murry.
He leaves to cherish his memory four beloved children: Debra Mack (Willis), of Little Rock, Arkansas, Barbara Smith of Lonoke, Arkansas, Billy Ray Crater of Little Rock, Arkansas and Lucille Cogshell of North Little, Arkansas, one brother, Arthur Scarborough (Linda) of Lonoke, Arkansas; an uncle and aunt in Chicago, Illinois, special niece Natessa Scarbough, and her children, Alexis, Davion, and Taliya, special granddaughter, Tenecia Carroll, and her children, Drayden, Natilya, McKinley, and Harmani.
Calvin will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
