Mother Carolyn Ann Kirk's Life Journey

Mother Carolyn Ann Kirk was born on July 28, 1949, to the late Scott (Bear) and Lillie Bell Kirk in Lonoke, AR. She resided in Lonoke, AR and Detroit, MI throughout her years. She was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. She was preceded in death by her son Jeremy Lynn Holden, her parents Lillie Bell Kirk and Scott Kirk, by three sisters, Brenda Franklin, Alinda Moss, and Clarissa Brown, and three brothers, Billy Franklin, Dewayne Franklin, and Tommy Kirk. Her family mourns not only her loss but also that of her grandson, Aaron Gilliam, who departed life in the days following her passing.

Mother Carolyn Ann Kirk was born into a large and loving family with five brothers and five sisters. She attended Job Corps and Carver High School in Lonoke. She was a firm believer in children getting their proper education for success in life. She confessed her love for Jesus and was baptized at an early age. She was a faithful member of Historic St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Lonoke, AR, where she served on the Mother's Board. Mother Carolyn Ann Kirk was a mother of many words and wisdom. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends with her cooking and lively spirit.

She leaves to continue her legacy, a daughter, Pamela Scott of Lonoke, AR; two sons, Keith Holden (Demetra) of Cordova, TN and Milton Holden (Esther) of Columbia, MD; ten grandchildren, Jasmine Scott, Trinity Holden, Darius Scott (Haley), Lamar Sanders, Katie Scott, Benton Holden, Brently Holden, Britt Holden, Trenton Holden, and Gabrielle Holden; ten great-grand kids; two sisters, Sherryell Howard of (Lonoke, AR), Melody Hunter (Lonoke, AR); two brothers, Kenneth Franklin Sr.(Baton Rouge, LA), and Cortez Kirk (Lonoke, AR).
