Carolyn Sue Sabb, daughter of the late Isaac Sabb, Sr. and Patsy Sabb, was born August 18, 1959, at University Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She committed her life to Christ at an early age at St. Matthew Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. E. Morris Mitchell, where she remained a faithful and devoted member until her death. Carolyn was the church finance secretary for many years. She served as choir president and director, Vacation Bible School Teacher, Kerr Day chairperson, Church Anniversary and building fund committee chairperson, Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, Meals of Hope treasurer and volunteer. Carolyn served on the program printing committee, scholarship committee, By-laws committee, the bereavement committee, and was an organizer of conferences and the Fifty-State March.
Carolyn graduated from Lonoke High School in 1977, then attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. She was employed by the State of Arkansas from 1979-2021, retiring after forty-two years of service.
She loved traveling, baking, computer science, sewing, and she had a special talent for creating and styling wigs, but most of all, she loved and enjoyed studying God's word. Carolyn was a very special aunt to all of her nieces and nephews because she was an avid supporter of all their extracurricular activities.
Carolyn departed this life on October 2, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted daughter, Shannon Wilson (Scott) of Ft. Worth, Texas; two brothers, Isaac Sabb, Jr. (Blenda) and Leon Sabb (Lenora); two sisters, Mattie Williams and Mary Dodson; brother-in-law, Clarence Whitley and sister-in-law, Maxine Sabb; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
