Obituary
Diannia (Diane Scales) Jones was born September 29, 1951 in Allport, Arkansas to the late Ethel Gilbert and Willie Scales. She was a graduate of Humnoke High School. Diannia completed Vocational Training at OIC (Opportunities Industrialization Center) of America in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. Years later Diannia united with Bailey Chapel Baptist Church when it was located in Scott, Arkansas under the direction of Rev. Arnette Dotson. She was constantly engaged and participated in numerous church activities. She held the office of Church Clerk and Financial Secretary. She was also a member of the Choir, Mission Department and the KYRIA Ministry.
Diannia departed this life January 19, 2022. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of thirty-two years, Dwight Jones, a son William Anthony Jones and a sister Lonnia Veronica Gilbert.
She leaves to cherish her memories: six sisters, Merlene Scales, Fairfax, Virginia; Debra (Greg) Barker, Fort Smith, Arkansas; DeBora "Reva" London, Clinton, Maryland; Irma (Harold) Turner, Everlyne (Ricki) Conner and Kally Jones, one brother Willie Scales Jr., all of St. Louis, Missouri; and a host of other relatives and friends.
