Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age at St. John Baptist Church, Pettus, Arkansas under the leadership of Rev. Charles Cole where she remained faithful until her health began to fail.
She was united in holy matrimony, to the late Earl (Jack) Dodson, on April 9, 1951. To this union ten children were born. Dorothy's family and the community were not strangers to her big heart.
