Earnesteen Dodson Roberson was born March 10, 1930 in Lonoke County. She was the third child out of six born to the late Jerry and Emma Dodson. Mother Roberson professed a hope in Christ early in life at St. John Baptist Church, Pettus, Arkansas. When the church burned and relocated to Lonoke Mother Roberson remained a loyal member. She was an excellent cook and made the best homemade Cha-Cha, among other great food.
Mother Roberson departed this life Wednesday, March 17, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband George Roberson, Jr., two sons, Leonard Roberson and George Roberson III, two brothers, Cecil Dodson and Rev. Julius Dodson, three sisters, Deaster Davis, Emma Moore and Glordean Brooks.
Grateful for the time spent with her and expecting to see her again are: a son Robert Earl Calhoun, North Little Rock, Arkansas; four daughters, Beverly Brown, North Little Rock, Arkansas; Cecill Roberson, Bernestine Mays and Patricia Roberson all of Lonoke, Arkansas; twenty grandchildren, fifty-one great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
