George Kelleybrew Obituary

George Edward Kelleybrew, son of the late Nelline Lee Kelleybrew and Cora Bell Cox was born on December 11, 1948. At an early age George made a personal commitment to Christ and joined St. Matthew Baptist Church. He was a faithful and devoted member until the end. George was a loyal usher for many years, a trustworthy trustee Board member, always volunteering his service in helping others and the upkeep of St. Matthew.

George united in holy matrimony with Carol Harris on July 8, 1977. They shared a beautiful devotion of love to each other for over forty-eight years. George worked over thirty years at Chicopee and five more years at Enco before retiring.

He loved outdoor sports; hunting and fishing were among the many activities that sparked his interest. George was a pitcher on the Kerr All Star Baseball Team. He loved playing dominoes and gathering with his family and friends.

George departed this life on September 3, 2025.

George was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Alicia Green, six siblings-Van McKinney, Wardell McKinney, Mynal Lee Britt, Wallace McKinney, Lloyd Ray Kelleybrew, and Sallie Mae Brown.

He leaves to cherish his life's journey with his loving wife, Carol Harris Kelleybrew; grandson Nicholas Green; son-in-law Jeff Green; three sisters-in-law Barbara Kelleybrew, Kenya Harris and Amelia Harris, four brothers-in- law Herman (Phyllis) Harris; Mark (Michelle) Harris, Ronnie Harris, Kyle (April) Harris, a troll of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
