George Edward Spann, 59, of Little Rock transitioned to his heavenly home on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. He was born October 30, 1955 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
George is preceded in death by his loving mother, Rosie A. Spann; fathers, George Spann, Sr. and Rev. Luther Jeffries, Sr.; three brothers, Lee Roy Carr, Richard Siller and Luther Jeffries, Jr.; paternal and maternal grandparents, Sebron and Eva Carr, Willis and Willie Mae Jeffries.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Chauntee’ Coleman(John) and one son, Corey Spann; four grandchildren; Jailyn Powers, Joshua and Jakob Coleman and JaCorey Spann; stepmother, Frankie B. Jeffries; three brothers, Thurman, James and Charles Jeffries; eight sisters; Inez Williams, Gussie Charles, Maxine Shackleford, Linder Green, Jalonda Lane, Ruby and Vearlon Jeffries, Hannah Harris (John); four aunts, Leola Wakes, Rosie Lee Washington, Minnie Rose Greene, and Dortha Lee Holcomb (Reginald), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 07, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 1400 South Ringo Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202. The family requests that in lieu of flowers please donate to the Siller-Spann Scholarship Fund c/o Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.
