Herman Mitchell Obituary

Herman L. Mitchell, Jr., 59, of North Little Rock transitioned to his eternal rest on March 31, 2016. He was born to Herman L. Mitchell, Sr. and Wivolene Jones Mitchell on January 2, 1957 in Lonoke, Arkansas. He was passionate about his family, horses and motorcycles. His accomplishments included Vice President of the Usher Ministry, Sunday School Assistant Superintendent and the Servant Help Ministry at First Baptist Church. Another heartfelt accomplishment of Herman’s was being a Funeral Director at Serenity Funeral Home where he was President and part owner.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herman L. Mitchell, Sr., one sister, Wivolene Mitchell Perry and two nephews, Prentiss Carter and Keith E. Wilbert, Jr.

He leaves to celebrate his life devoted wife and friend Stephanie Mitchell; mother, Wivolene Mitchell; children, Ebony Linton, Natasha Burley, Nicole Pride, Kendric Gardner, Latoya Mitchell, Kyana Mitchell, Kurston Bradford and Keisha Bradford; twelve grandchildren, five brothers and three sisters.

Family hour will be Friday, April 8, 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.  Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 9, 11:00 a.m.  Both held at First  Baptist Church, 811 SA Jones, North Little Rock.
