Johnny Wayne Johnson was born in Ethel, Arkansas to Sammie Lee Johnson and Annie Pearl Mariner Johnson on June 23, 1951. The second child of six. He was raised and attended school in Saint Charles and Dewitt, Arkansas.
Johnny moved to Little Rock, Arkansas and worked as a construction worker for several years. Later he was employed and retired from Arkansas Best Freight (ABF) and North Hills Services. He was self employed doing Lawn Service and Janitorial Service.
Johnny was a member of Williams Temple COGIC-Awareness Center International (Trumpet In Zion) and attended McCabe United Methodist Church.
Johnny departed this life Friday, August 13, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sammie and Annie Pearl Johnson, grandparents, sister, Karen Johnson, brother, Sammy Eugene Johnson and grandson, Kaleb Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Martha Williams-Johnson, daughter, Latasha Johnson, DeWitt, Arkansas; four sons, Johnathan Wayne Johnson (Lauren) Jacksonville, Arkansas; Justin DeWayne Johnson, Jacksonville, Arkansas; Jason Lamont Johnson, Little Rock, Arkansas; Jared Donnell Johnson, Little Rock, Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three sisters, Rose Calmese, Stuttgart, Arkansas; Matlin London, DeWitt, Arkansas; Gayla Earls (Robbie), Maumelle, Arkansas; eight aunts, three uncles, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
