Joyce Lorene Anderson Walker, 74, was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on August 4, 1946, to Rev. Johnnie and Mrs. Vinnie Anderson, the 5th of eleven children. She confessed a hope in Christ and was baptized by her father at an early age at the Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where she has been a lifelong member. She was active until retirement in the Angelic Choir, and was currently serving as President of the Mothers Ministry.
She attended Little Rock public schools and graduated in 1964 from Horace Mann Senior High School. She worked several places but most notable was Timex, retiring from her latest employment at Moon Distribution in 2012.
Joyce married Guy Harmon on January 5, 1965, and to this union three (3) children were born. She later married Robert (Fat) Walker November 25, 1977 (no children) to whom she continued to be married until his death.
Joyce transitioned this life on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Her only daughter, Kariba Harmon, her parents, Johnnie and Vinnie Anderson, four brothers (Robert Anderson, Clarence Anderson Edward Anderson, and Anthony Anderson; and two sisters, Alma Anderson Barnes and Cheryl Anderson) preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Derek (Monica) Harmon and Victor Harmon, both of Little Rock; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Two brothers, Johnnie (Darien) Anderson and Vincent Anderson, both of Little Rock; two sisters, Emma McCoy and Sheila (Larry) Blackmon; sisters-in-law, Charlene Anderson, LaCora Anderson, of Little Rock and Deloris Anderson of West Memphis; a very special aunt, Lela Phillips of Conway, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
