Katrina Michelle Johnson was born June 6, 1965, to Alma and Columbus Brown, III in Little Rock, Arkansas. She attended Little Rock Public Schools, graduating from Parkview High School in 1983. During high school she was a member of the Parkview Liberty Bells.
She accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized into the Greater Macedonia Baptist Church family by her grandfather, the Rev. Johnnie Anderson. Michelle was an active member of the Angelic Choir where she served as long as her health permitted. She also served on the Johnnie and Vinnie Anderson Scholarship Committee.
Michelle attended Velvatex Beauty College and became a licensed cosmetologist. She was currently licensed as a real estate agent working with her father at Brown and Company Realty. In prior years Michelle worked as a model, event coordinator and as an interior designer.
Michelle was featured in the August-September 2022 issue of the Urbane Magazine discussing Sickle Cell Anemia Awareness.
Michelle transitioned from this life on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at home surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alma Anderson Barnes, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
She leaves to cherish her memory her father, Columbus (mother-in-love Edith) Brown III; one son, Demetrius (Victoria) Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; and one daughter, Raquel Johnson of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Shonna Brown of Little Rock, Arkansas; Edmonda (Eric) Bailey of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Shayla Anderson Edwards (Robert) of Houston, Texas; one brother Drs. Columbus (Donna) Brown IV of Little Rock, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Kyhlei Muhammad of Houston, Texas and Truett Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; seven aunts and four uncles, a very special great aunt, Lela Phillips of Conway, Arkansas, special aunt/sister Sheila (Larry) Blackmon, two sisters-in-love, Tracy Conley of Little Rock, Arkansas and Cassandra Stewart of Cincinnati, Ohio; a special friend, James Barron of Little Rock, Arkansas; god-son, Marcus Slade of New Jersey; a host of cousins and other relatives.
