Morrisce Nee (Bunton) Dockett

Morrisce Nee Bunton Dockett entered into eternal life on February 10, 2025. She was born to the late Frank T. Bunton Sr. and Georgia Murry Bunton.

Morrisce Nee Bunton Dockett was a woman of unwavering love, strength and grace. She lived a life guided by faith, family, and an infectious joy that touched everyone she met. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she left a lasting impact on all who knew her. 

Born in Yorktown, Arkansas, and raised in Lonoke, Arkansas, Morrisce's life was shaped by strong family values and deep-rooted faith. She pursued her education at Tuskegee University, where she met the love of her life, Simon O.J. Dockett. Their 45-year marriage, until Simon's passing, was a testament to love, devotion, and faith. Together, they built a life in Thomasville, Georgia, raising a loving family and becoming dedicated members of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.

Morrisce's kindness, wisdom, and selfless spirit touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by her family, friends, and all those blessed to have known her.
