Mother Pearlie Mae Ware Williams was born March 11, 1929 to the late Marvin Ware and Caroline Miller in West Memphis, Arkansas. When she was eight months old they relocated to Stuttgart, Arkansas where her mother met and married the man that raised her from childhood as her dad Willie (Buffalo Bill) Carroll.
Mother Williams graduated from Homer High School in Stuttgart, Arkansas. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Bethel AME Church in Stuttgart and later moved her membership to Bethel AME Church in Lonoke, Arkansas now Independent Christian Fellowship Church. While at Bethel Mother Williams was a faithful, dedicated, hardworking member who wore many hats. She was the Sunday School Teacher, Secretary, Member of the Finance Committee, Usherboard, Kitchen Committee and Mother of the Church.
Mother Williams was employed for seventeen years at Jacksonville Nursing Home and three years at Lonoke Nursing Home. She lived the life she preached about and never met a stranger. Mother Williams took care of the sick, fed the hungry, visited the Nursing Homes and on numerous occasions she sheltered the homeless. She cared for so many children and never turned down anyone no matter the race or religion. Mother Williams was truly God sent.
Mother Pearlie Williams met and married Brother Sylvester Williams, Sr. and later moved to Lonoke. From this union twelve children were born of which two preceded her in death, Willie Lee Williams and Carolyn Shirley Ann Williams. Also, preceded in death by her husband Sylvester Williams, Sr., biological father Marvin Ware, her loving father and mother Willie and Caroline Carroll, brothers,RB Ware and Herman Carroll, Sr., sister Verna Moss. She transitioned from this home to a better home on Monday, June 29, 2020.
Mother Williams leaves to cherish her memories ten children, Carolyn Williams Keel, Mattie (Norman) Walker, Sylvester (Cora) Williams, Jr., Herman (Edith) Williams,Sr., Linder (Pastor Royce) Callaway all of Lonoke, Arkansas; Donnie (Lillian) Williams, Houston, Texas; Norvell (Debra) Williams, Little Rock, Arkansas; Linder (Tracy) Jarrett, Norris Williams, both of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Kim Smith, Jacksonville, Arkansas. Two special daughters Felecia Ann Yancy, Lonoke, Arkansas and Frederica Williams Cross, Jacksonville, Arkansas. Two brothers, RT Roberts, Culver, Indiana and Miles (Debra) Carroll, Maumelle, Arkansas. Twelve sisters, Fannie Ware Hill, Josephine Richards, Mary (Eddie) Dadner, Brenda Johnson, Effie Everette, Lena Vineyard, Addie Tensley, Wilma Bradford, Laura Thomas, Earnestine (Sam) Pitman, Nancy Wofford and Mother Williams oldest living relatives Aunt Mary Edwards and cousin Curtis (Alma) Hart. She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
