My sincere condolences to Waheedah’s family. Carrie and I both attended St Gabriel Catholic School, she was a class ahead of me… she was one of the big girls. Occasionally, I would stop by her house. I followed her to Historic Langston High School where she was the Algebra whiz. I again followed her to Philander Smith not actually knowing she was already a sophomore at Philander until accidentally running into her in the dorm my freshman year. Carrie was later my big sister as I also pledged Delta Sigma Theta . We would meet up later in life at one of the Historical Langston Reunion where she graciously shared news of her family and her life. She also also told me “Carol, I’m having a wonderful life and enjoying every moment.” Reading her obituary I see her life of love and generosity pouring out. I will always remember her kindness!!

Waheedah was a fellow student at Philander Smith.  We pledged different sororities at the same time.  It is wonderful to see her life after college brought her a beautiful family tree of her own.
Rest in love

My sincere condolences to the family of Waheeda. She and I attended Philander Smith College together. Of course, I knew her as Carrie Dobson. I have great memories of her. She did some seamstress work for me shortly after college.
