Walter Bolden Jr. Obituary

A Time to Be Born

Walter James Bolden, Jr. was the eleventh child born to Alberta and Walter Bolden, Sr. on October 8, 1948, in Seaton, Arkansas.

A Time to Live

Walter attended Horace Mann Senior High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. After graduating, he completed two years of college.

Walter was a devoted family man who cherished the relationships he built throughout his life. He was first married to Jacqueline Bolden, and from that union three children were born, following her passing, Walter found love again and married Dora Gantt. Together, they blended their families and shared many years of love, companionship, and support, adding three more daughters to the family.

Walter was a dedicated employee of Sherwin-Williams Paint Company, where he faithfully served for 38 years before retiring. His strong work ethic, commitment, and dependability earned the respect of his colleagues and all who knew him. Above all, Walter will be remembered for his love for family, his generous spirit, and the lasting impact he made on those whose lives he touched.

A Time to Serve

Walter Jr. united with The Church at Gaines Street at a young age. He was a faithful member of Sunday School, the church choir, and the deacon board. As with all things Walter put forth his best. He took great pride in serving. His smile of service will forever linger in our hearts.

A Time to Rest

Walter slept away peacefully surrounded by his family and dogs. Preceded by his parents, Walter Sr. and Alberta Bolden; son, Eric Bolden and two daughters, La'Keasha and Anika Walker; siblings, James Bolden, Milton Bolden, Mae Willie (Bernice) Favors, Gerthe Peterson, John Bolden, and Jerry Lee Bolden.
