William Earl Stuckey was born April 11, 1948, to Clara Barnes. He was born in Kiblah, Arkansas, where he was raised by his grandfather, Champion Stuckey, and grandmother Mildred Stuckey affectionately known as Ma Dear, alongside his aunts and uncles (whom he recognized as his sisters and brothers) Marjorie Stuckey Patton, Barbara Stuckey Wiggins, Joyce Stuckey Reid, Winnie Stuckey, Thomas Stuckey, Calvin Stuckey, Theodore Stuckey and William (Little Son) Stuckey, brother, Michael Barnes and sister Rita Sewell, three children, Erreyon Stuckey, Fordyce, Arkansas; Joy Stuckey and Kevin Stuckey, both of Little Rock, Arkansas; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
William attended Arkansas School for the Blind and spent his summers in Kiblah, where he enjoyed playing instruments and entertaining family. He departed this life on August 26, 2021, at home surrounded by family. The world has lost more than a talented musician; the world has lost a powerful soul. So as we celebrate the life and legacy of William Earl Stuckey, we will never forget his love for God, family, and musical ability. This is not goodbye but farewell until we meet again.
A Private Burial will follow with immediate family only.
