Willie Celia (Suga Momma) Morris 88, of Lonoke, Arkansas passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 26 at home. Willie was born January 18, 1937, in Kerr, Arkansas to the late Willie Woods and Luella Shelton. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and became a member of St. Matthew Spiritual Church in 2012. She attended Lonoke Public School in Lonoke, Arkansas. She was married to Eugene Morris Sr., for over fifty years, who preceded her in death in 2018. Willie enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, In The Heat of The Night and Perry Mason.
Willie was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of strength, compassion and quiet grace. She always put her family first, serving as a constant source of support and love to everyone around her. Her heart was full, her love unconditional, and her presence a true blessing in the lives of all who knew her. She will forever be in our hearts. We Love You Momma (Suga Momma). The Mayor and our "Queen!"
Willie was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Morris Sr., great-granddaughter Regan Pettus and her son-in-law Derrick Bryant Sr.
Willie leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Linda McHenry (Nathaniel), Beverly Washington (John) and Myra Bryant, three sons Edward Morris (Deborah), Eugene Morris Jr., (Beverly) and Raymond Morris (Vonda) all of Lonoke, Arkansas, three brothers James Shelton, Tommy Shelton, a special brother James Williams, two sisters Debra Shelton, and Dorothy Shelton, sixteen grandchildren, twenty -nine great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
