Willie Mae Woods was born August 6, 1929, in Richwood , Arkansas to the late Wonderful and Ruthie Buress Woods. She confessed her life in Christ at an early age at Oak Grove Church under the leadership of her grandfather Rev. James Buress.
Willie Mae transitioned from this life on Thursday, November 12, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents Wonderful and Ruthie Woods, sister, Jessie Lee Williams, daughter, Linda Cooney, sons, Jimmy Stuart, Tony Whitehead and Sherman Whitehead, Jr. grandsons, Sammy Dixon and Henry Bryant, III.
Willie Mae is survived by five daughters, Robbie Dixon and Brenda Goliday, Lonoke, Arkansas; Patricia (Robert) Moragne, North Little Rock, Arkansas; Bobbie (Henry) Bryant and Jackie (Lamont) Donley, Jacksonville, Arkansas; three sons, James (Tracy) Whitehead, Marquis (Terry) Hood, Lonoke, Arkansas and Sammy Whitehead, Chicago, Illinois; a daughter-in-law, Hazel Stuart, Chicago, Illinois; thirty seven grandchildren, seventy eight great-grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
