My sincere condolences and prayers go to the Smith family in the loss of Mrs. Hazel Smith. My life was forever impacted by the tough love I received from Mrs. Smith in the 8th grade at Rose City Junior High. She became like a mother to me, ironically, she and my mother share the same first name of Hazel and worked together at Scipio A. Jones High School . My fondest memory of her will always be the night she attended one of my art openings and I was able to publicly acknowledge how she was pivotal in helping me become a better person. Rest in Love Mrs. Smith... save a cup of hot apple cider for me in heaven. Love Always, Rex DeLoney
